As a River grad I would love to see the Pilots win this game. However they will be missing a number of very talented football players from last year’s team who have graduated. CC is expected to be a top 20 D6 squad. River’s one major advantage is that this is a 3 1/2 drive for CC. Best of luck to the Pilots but opening your season with likely the strongest team on your schedule will be quite a challenge.

Colonel Crawford arrived at River today to practice, staying in New Martinsville . QB two year starter , three receivers are two year starters , RB big and physical , line bigger than average .

I caught CC back in 2021 and they looked good then. They were tough last year, and if I remember correctly when talking to some older fans back then, they thought they would be excellent in 2023. Time will tell. If I were to make a prediction on this one I would be forced to say C.C. by two scores.

Absolutely not , just very short on depth . I have a good buddy with a starting son on the team . His opinion to me this morning two very good teams and one had to win . His main input was River’s depth , C C was able to platoon, sixty man roster , River could not and fatigue factored in 4th .
