Positions played: defensive end and defensive tackle.

Class: 2024

How long have you played football?
I've been playing football since I was five years old.

What have been your favorite and least favorite moments on the football field?
Making tackles on third down. Nothing feels better than making that play. I can't think of anything that is my least favorite. I am locked in from the beginning of the game until the last whistle blows.

Looking back on your high school career, what away stadium have you enjoyed playing at the most? Explain.
Princeton is the best away stadium to play in, as we always get a win there.

What are your personal goals for the 2023 season?
To dominate every play and be the best player on the field.

As a defensive lineman, what type of offensive lineman is the hardest to go up against?
The hardest offensive lineman to go up against is one who knows how to use his hands and keeps them on you.

Is it more satisfying to beat your rival or one of the big private schools?
Beating a rival is always better.

The Firebirds went 13-1 last season. What will it take to do better this season?
We have to take care of the little things because they can become bigger things if you don't, and we, as a team, have to stay focused, and each person has to do their job.

What is your favorite and least favorite part of practice?
My favorite part is the two-minute drill. I do not have a least favorite part; I love every part of it because I am getting better as I go through each and every part of practice.

After the season is over, is it a goal of yours to play in one or two of the state-wide all-star games?
It would be awesome to be able to play in one of the All-Star games. My goal is to keep working hard and to be ready for the next level of football.

What is the one food you enjoy eating that most others do not?
Salt and vinegar chips

What is your favorite type of music, along with your favorite song?
Rap. My favorite song is by Lil Baby, and it is Free Style.

Elijah with a very interesting take on being able to make a tackle on third down. It probably makes perfect sense as it in a lot of ways probably means change of possession. I also agree as far as going against an offensive linemen that is well versed in knowing how to use his hands to his advantage. Lakota West usually year in and year out one of the top high school programs in the State. Good Interview
