Don’t know much about Logan, but Zanesville athletics has been a dumpster fire 🔥 for 3-4 years. Might be a decent game ?

Zanesville will host Logan, losing 4 in a row. They are 3-6 on the year and their wins are against teams with a combined 7-20. Logan and Zanesville have 1 common opponent, Fort Frye and the Devils lost 40-27. Their defense is giving up 46 ppg over the last 4 games and the offense is avg 10.2 ppg over that same span. Their opponents combined record for that run is 24-12
Logan is 2-2 over the same 4 week stretch, with their opponents 20-16. Logan's D is giving up 23.2 ppg over the last 4 and the offense is scoring 22.7ppg The only real significant defeat was a 31-7 loss last week vs FF. Logan led 7-0 and had all the momentum heading into the second period before the Cadets started to click.
Speaking of changing first halves; last week the upstart Blue Devils led Watkins Memorial 14-6 early in the second quarter before Watkins exploded for three touchdowns in the final six minutes of the first half.
The Blue Devils are a fan of the deep ball and they have a good mix on offense. Logan's pass D will need to be ready this week.

I think the Logan ground and pound guts out a win this week. This team and these kids have played their hearts out all year and their seniors will play hard this week to end it with a win.

Absolutely massive opportunity for Logan.

A win tonight would really cement this as a foundational season to build on. 4-6 would look a lot better than 3-7.

Finishing 4-6 would mean 6-4 was possible. And 6-4 with this team and this schedule would have been a phenomenal season.

I hope these kids take the opportunity. I hope they continue to play better each week and finish strong. I want to be excited about potential for next season, despite a lot of rebuilding that will be needed (especially on defense).

Let's Go Chiefs!

Interesting game. Logan seems to be improving. I saw Zanesville against Fort Frye and they had a great RB who was playing QB because of injuries. He can make plays but they are one-dimensional. Think Logan could get this one.

First Logan shutout since 2016 (Hamilton Ross)
First Logan win over ZHS since 2009 (0-5 in that time)
Most points ever scored vs ZHS (Scoted 33 in 2006)
Largest margin of victory over ZHS (Won 33-7 in 2006, 26-0 on 2009)

Logan was 1 point from being 5-5 and a few plays vs Teays Valley from being 6-4. The Senior class really should be applauded as well as the staff. I questioned the offense a few times admittedly this season, but in the end the kids bought in and seemed to be running it very well. Interesting to see what they can become next year with some key players back. Jack Walsh, Kaden Morgan, Chris Gompf are all sophomores, Jack Brown will be back as a Senior to complete the RBs; and they should have some BIG kids back up front as well. WR could be the holes that need filled. Logan has like 20 kids on the roster listed as some sort of lineman so they will need to find some replacements in the skilled spots on Defense and a few on offense. But could be a good group back. 2023 schedule will be just as challenging with 2 road games to start at Jackson and TV. Home games with Sheridan and Warren, at Chilly and then 3 in a row at the Reservation with Athens, St Chuck's and Minford. With a road game at Fort Frye and Zanesville at home.
