After some good football last week, we are now into some meat scheduling wise and some huge matchups this week loom!

Logan 1-4 vs Athens 0-5 - Former heated rivals back when the SEOAL was king! Burning letters into the others fields, spray paint, the bench clearing fight in 1987 at the Hilltop, other tomfoolery. This once heated and intense matchup was the talk of the league each year!
ONE GAME AWAY FROM POTENTIAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!
Alexander 4-1 must travel to Vinton Co 3-2.
Nelsonville York 4-1 hosts Meigs 2-3.
If both can get a win this week it sets up a potential huge match up in two weeks as next week both schools would be favored big to win. This week is the hurdle that can get them in line for the massive game on 10-7.

Definitely some surprises. Grove 5-0, Gallia 5-0. I thought valley would be better but they just don’t have the depth. Waverly really struggling. I figured even with Hurd that would be a bit better. Ironton is ironton and loved the ironton classic, glad to see it come back for 2 days in 2023. Burg is burg and looking good. Been a fun season. Ovc prob at its best football season in a long time with south point getting some wins, peake with wins.

This is a who cares game. Two bad teams playing for nothing more than bragging rights between the two of them. But to the two fan bases it is a big deal. Both would probably say winning this game makes them somewhat successful this season.
