Will have to wait and see what the official stats are, but I guarantee the run to pass ratio will be a decent gap. Waverly ran the ball a lot. Maybe took some shots at times when they should have just handed it off. Waverly will continue to throw the ball like they did tonight. The coaches know who they are, if you are looking for them to play 3 yards and a cloud of dust football I believe you will never see that.

`1I believe Waverly ran 73 plays on the night with over half being runs. Tigers had at least 270 yards on the ground and around 180 passing. Pretty good balance in 2nd half!!

Yeah they really hammered away in the 2nd half, that was a 1st half post

Crazy final 3 minutes. Miami Trace up 11 points and Waverly came back to score a TD, miss the 2 point conversion, recovered an onside kick scored quickly got the 2 point conversion and then on the final kickoff Miami Trace fumbled and Waverly recovered it. They were able to get a first down and then kneel the game away.

Way to get the season started. Really happy to see that Waverly was able to find a way to post the win.

Thank you @smurray for the stats.

I am pleased with the Tiger win in what proved to be a most interesting game. I was expecting a low scoring defensive struggle which obviously did not happen.

Shocked at this win. Heard Waverly was struggling. Good to see them figure it out quick.

Probably shouldn't have been shocked, Waverly was still returning a lot of players up front and the entire group of RBs. Now if they can just pickup where they left off in the 2nd half they should be ok. Changes were made in the 2nd half in the secondary and that started to really limit the passing game vs the 1st half where it seemed like everyone was open. Offensively they leaned into the run really heavy, got some good bounces late in the 4th and was able to comeback. On to the Johnnies

Good synopsis of the 2nd half.
Tigers must rely on the run with that veteran offensive line and stable of running backs. Mason Kelly will get better and better as he is only a sophomore with 1 varsity game under his belt. 15-30 passing with 4 TD’s and 3 picks.
Would like to see the run/pass ratio a little more run heavy with the current personnel and I think it was in the 2nd half.
Tigers pull one out and look to go 2-0 next week on the road at Johnstown.

Try this. A little tricky to load and I am not sure how long it will be available
