Yeah those 2 have kicked off on the Thursday for the last few years now I believe.

Minus the COVID year they didn’t play, these 2 have kicked off the season against one another (counting this season) the last 10 years, 8 of those being on Thursday night. Suppose it’s developed into a tradition/rivalry, trophy to the winning team and what not.
