10-7 - JV/Freshman - Trimble @ Ironton

Post by ohbuckeye2 »

Trimble JV/Freshman will travel to Ironton to take on the Fighting Tigers, I remember seeing talk about the Varsity Teams possibly playing but will not happen, here's the next best thing. The game starts at 6 pm, you can get tickets at the gate from what I read on Facebook. Thoughts?

I don't have a clue what either team has but guessing out of the blue, I'll take Ironton by 21

Isn't the trimble varsity year after year the greatest team in the state regardless of division.

“Arnton” by a lot. Lol. Half of our starters on Friday nights are underclassmen. No way the gambler sends them to Ironton with the JV squad risking injury for the playoffs.

Feel like this is a troll post? Nobody has insinuated Trimble is the “greatest” team in the state year in and year out, especially regardless of division. For a small town, small community, division 7 school out of Southeastern Ohio, I would say they have one of the best programs in SEO, IN DIVISION 7. Same goes for the Tigers, they are typically a power house D5 team. Every program is going to have up and down years or “building” years if you will. But to make a statement like you did just shows you’re salty with the Tomcats for some reason.

I’d say yans win by more than that. How bout we save the bet and split a 30 rack of Latte’s during pregame?

Ironton was up 12-6 with about 6 minutes left in the game. Cats got down inside the 30, turn over on downs. Ironton dove down and scored to go up 18-6, then with 45 seconds left they had a pick 6 to make it 26-6. It was good hard fought, hard hitting freshman game. That Ironton group is loaded!

Irontons freshman and 10th grade both have a really good class

That they do! It was nice to see the cats willing to travel and play anyone, anywhere, and anytime (Wednesday night LOL). It was impressive to see them compete and make it a competitive game. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs!

I think ironton has 4 sophmore on varsity 3 start and 1 plays a good amount. Was it just a freshman game or freshman and jv

I believe it was Ironton Freshman and Trimble JV. Also believe Trimble has a freshman that is strictly varsity and 2 sophomores that only play varsity. Think their JV consists of 10+ freshman and a couple sophomores.
