Wheelersburg injuries

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

0-3 might actually happen.
How many players have missed games the first two weeks?
Are any of them out this week?
When will those who are out be back?
Will they actually miss the playoffs?
How is the JV team doing?

I may be wrong about this, as I'm not really in the know. I think I read in an earlier thread today, that they will still have probably between 3 and 4 players who will likely not be able to play this coming Friday night. They have really had there fair share of injuries this early in the year, as well as before the season even started. I may be off on this, but I think that's what I read.

I agree lol, Burg gets all the attention around here! 0 and 3 start lol.... I guess they have earned the respect over the years for this attention .. What I have noticed , when Burg wins a game , it looks like the expected to win that game so know other talk goes on about that game they move on to the next. Other teams like Ironton beat the Burg and they really did something special , so they keep talking about for weeks lol... I agree they did do something special ...

Every team around here that would have lost the talent Burg has lost would be 0-2 looking at 0-3 as well.

A player like Matthews only comes around once in a blue moon and is very hard to replace. They lost there starting QB and RB before the season even started and had to scramble on what they were going to do.

Once they get a few of those key players back they will be okay. Playoffs might be a stretch but never say never.

I have faith in these boys. The ship is righted this week. Ashland is not a pushover by any means. It will be a hard fought game. Once the Pirates taste that first victory on Friday, they’ll want more and more. Finish regular season 8-2. Let’s get out to support this team and make The Ed rocking Friday night.

Just remembered Matthews was on the Times preview cover. Maybe that has the curse like the Madden game does with the NFL players

Every single team in Scioto County would be 0-2 looking at 0-3 and possible 1-4 with the Burg's schedule. Injuries suck for the kids devoting years and hours in the gym to get where they were. I hate it for them. It is gut-wrenching for those young men. I get no satisfaction from seeing anyone injured. Always compete and get healthy.

It's there. When we make the playoffs tell me this. How many other teams can make the playoffs with a 3rd string QB playing all year lose lose 3 of your top 4 RB's and all of those players gone from defense. That is the epitome of depth. Everyone else the season would be lost. Depth and coaching is what will get us to the playoffs. Come back here week 10 you will see!!!
