Tri-Valley drove down the field twice fairly easily on first two possessions in the game. Was headed in for the second score and fumbled it away at goal line. Zanesville put together a good drive to make it 7-6 Zanesville. Tri-Valley had a good drive to go up 12-7. Zanesville got a penalty aided drive to make it 13-12 with a couple minutes left before half. TV threw an interception immediately at midfield. Zanesville scored with seconds to go on a 4th and 8. Jump ball throw with Zville receiver outjumping 3 defenders. 20-12 Zanesville at half.

Second half Tri-Valley took control. Scored on three consecutive drives. 20-20, 27-20, 34-20. Success with passing to the running back slipping out of the backfield, QB runs and passes to wide outs. In the 4th quarter, up 34-20 TV stopped Zanesville QB on a run along the sideline. The back judge 40 yards away called the 3rd helmet to helmet penalty on Tri-Valley. Play was right in front of head coach Kevin Fell. He told the refs what he thought about it and Zanesville got a 30 yard gift. Zanesville was able to drive it on in for 34-26 score with 4 minutes to go. They kicked off instead of an onside kick. Tri-Valley ran out the clock with running up the middle getting 3 or 4 first downs.

Both teams had critical turnovers and penalties. Certainly not a clean game. Zanesville made Tri-Valley earn a win. And TV did.
