Week 7: Waverly (2-4) @ Wheelersburg (6-0)

Post by 4thgoal »

Anyone have any thoughts on this one? Last Thursday I was in Waverly for the soccer game and the football practice was just finishing up. Waverly had 2-3 players on crutches, 2-3 in arm slings and several more not dressed and walking around in street clothes. Obviously, injuries are a big problem for the Tigers this year.

Burg continues.
Shouldn't be a big blowout but the Burg will control the football and the game

They had 2 more go out against Valley, they are pretty thinned out with injuries. Burg will get up big, and get the younger guys some PT.

Keep your head up and keep plugging along Waverly.

This one will get out of hand. Wheelersburg is very good and Waverly is struggling. Walking into the stadium the other night for the Valley game, Waverly has some nice athletes and some very good size. It is tough for me to believe they aren't more talented than 2-4.

On a side note, what is the deal with the Waverly fan that screams the entire game? That guy was so loud it was like he was sitting next to me and I was across the stadium. Seemed to be a little too passionate for his Tigers.

Good Luck Waverly, as Burg isn't going to need it this game.

Burg could lay 100 on Waverly if they wanted to

Burg could lay 100 on several people this year if they wanted to, but you have to remember that sometimes you're the winshield and sometimes you're the bug.....and times could change and you wouldn't want to be on the other end of that down the road. Heck, Burg had 49 points at the half in week 1 against Ironton and finished the game with 49 points. Once the game is well in hand, there is no point...
