Logan Elm just might be the best team Athens has played in 2013 ,but I see the Bulldogs winning.

I think you're right, it'll be the best team they've played but they should win easily. Round two will be more interesting.

Corey Heater and some boys from LE have locked horns with Athens before - and they have been GREAT GAMES ... it wasn't on the football field, but on the hardwood ... either way, they are still familiar with one another.

Should be fun ... look forward to seeing you Friday bman ... maybe we can get you on the radio for a few minutes during our pre-game show.

They did do a 7 on 7 with each other in the summer also.

Seeding works well for Athens, each week will be increasingly more difficult. So the seeding from that perspective is actually accurate. Sometimes a #1 gets a game against a very good #8 team that just had a brutal schedule to get the bottom seed and then the #1 gets sent home early.

But theoretically at least and I am not saying LE is a pushover or anything, but for Athens to play them and if they win, move to TV or New Philly, and then to MF is a good thing from a preparedness standpoint and increases the level of play/difficulty each week.

With the exception of I believe Dover and Chillicothe being inverted from a seeding perspective (and I know some would say Athens and MF inverted), it looks like in Region #9 the #1-#8 seeds are pretty much lined up correctly.

Logan Elm definitely isn't a "push over", "cake walk", "lay up" or whatever else some out there think, the Braves will offer the Dogs a big test on Friday night and the Dogs better have their game together or they could find themselves watching week 12.

Athens got a good draw to do some damage if it plays well.

Logan Elm is a battle tested team playing in the MSL-Buckeye, which is sending four teams to the playoffs. They've seen talented quarterbacks and running backs and some pretty good teams. The Braves also played a pretty good Miami Trace team in Week 3.

Athens will be the biggest test of the season. I haven't seen Burrow and company in person, but watched the tape of them beating Circleville last year. Watching how efficient Athens was on offense and how well Burrow delivered the ball was just amazing. The Bulldogs have some legit D1 prospects and a very good team overall. I'm sure the Bulldogs are even better this year with another year of experience.

Looking forward to a good game.

93Dog, Appreciate the kind offer but there's a reason I use the pen and not the voice. Looking forward to seeing you, and enjoying the hospitality of The Plains metro area. :122249 :122249 :122249

Actually Bman, you have a unique voice. One that would translate to the radio quite well, IMO.

Think about it. We would love to have you on - even if it was just for a few minutes.

"metro area" ... lol

Yes...Athens, Nelsonville, Albany, Stewart, Glouster....all part of The Plains metro area. :122249

It would be much more interesting to have a booth of Sweet Lou, pfloyd and you. That might be a battle for air time. :122245

bman ... I think its important you inform the Logan Elm folk how to avoid 5 o'clock traffic in the metropolis known as The plains. May I suggest if you come up 56 to park at the feed store in New Marshfield, and then take the monorail into Athens. There you can jump on the subway that will bring you directly to Athens High School.

Good luck.

No offense to Logan Elm ,but Athens certainly did reap the rewards of being a #1 seed. Athens should win handily.

Hey 93bulldog, I am going to leave you a message on jjhuddle. Would like to trade scores Friday night. I will be at TV-NP game.
