I'm hoping and expecting for another solid season from Caldwell. With top threats like Lori, Clark, and Baker back, the offense should perform fairly well. They'll have to replace several quality seniors, but if they can find some kids to step up in spots they could make another playoff run next season.

Any schedule changes for the 6 remaining PVC teams? I know River dropped out. I think they picked up Paden City WV for one game.

Fort Frye was going to play River week 2 but it looks like River can not get out of game with Bishop Donahue. Fort Frye will play Belpre in the opener. Con Valley dropped the Cadets so they have to open dates as of now. Fort Frye Non-League- Week 1. Belpre 10. @ Rosecrans 3. Waterford

Just makes economic sense for River to leave PVC. Doubt if it's fans ever want to go back to traveling to schools where no rivalry EVER existed (except for Monroe Central).
Happy to see a new regime with AD Romick putting the fans' interest first.

Like to see Beallsville added to River schedules.

Your man Romick just picked up Eastern, much less fan friendly an any PVC school. I am sure the coach will take the blame but the AD had to agree. There will be many more changes at River in athletics very soon. They left the PVC due to travel and picked up eastern ?

72 miles one way and 1 hour and 31 min according to mileage. Not fan friendly.

It don't make sense I felt PVC has prepared them great in basketball and the Football schedule has helped greatly to make the playoffs.

Wow, Eastern, that really surprises me too. Guess coach Flannery insisted on a opponent he felt his team could beat.
I've been to Eastern once and that was from Athens and it seemed far, LOL.
At that rate, look for the Pilots to add Waterford and any other team from south of Monroe County.
I know I dreaded any travel towards Shenandoah, Trail and Caldwell... just seemed like you're never gonna get there from here.

mc will be good but cannot them above Caldwell..they return almost everyone my picks-
Caldwell
mc
trail
frontier
zeps
ff
zeps have great running back returning which is why I put them above ff..Caldwell always has the intimidation factor against central but clark, lori ,and big tight end don't think it factors this year

MC has always beaten Caldwell in all sports. This one won't be any different. I look for the noles to go without a loss in the league.

Who will likely be the Noles QB? Jorris?

Jorris, he will be the best QB in the league. The kid has a great arm.

Fort Frye will go (5-5) they returned a ton of letterman and got a few players back. Watch out for RB / LB Brady Carpenter kids a stud.

Caldwell will be very good. Great kids who work hard and live in the weight room, we are lucky to have them in all sports.Tanner Clark ran for 1.000 and threw for 1,000 as a sophomore. Bricker Lori ran for over 1,000 and nearly ten yards a carry as a sophomore. Tanner Baker returns as the best wide out in the league. The football team must replace a few lineman and a linebacker. The majority of the production returns from a 9 win team that won a playoff game.
