Not many good wins for Hillsdale this year. Not sure what type of offense they run but they seem to score alot of points but that is against teams that arent that good.

I think the Oaks win 28-14. Hillsdale's offense has sputtered when playing good teams.

Plus, factor in the 170 mile drive that Hillsdale has to make saturday. Just another crazy example of how messed up region 19 is and some of the trips these teams have to make in the first round. This team is in between Mansfield and Wooster.

That is crazy.

I think the oaks have the easiest game of all in the region.

Oaks need to play their game. The long drive will not be good for Hillsdale. I'll take the Oaks 28-7 and moving on to week 12....must take care of business this week first.

Good point. A long bus ride never makes it easy to be fresh for a game, even if they rent a charter bus.

Good luck OAKS!! This team is no slouch! They have played a good sked. They have played 4 playoff teams, mostly Div 4 reg 13. 1 in our region, Loudenville.

Say what???

They have played 3 playoff teams and won 1 while barely losing the game with Minford and then there was Ironton.

They finished with 43.5 more level 2 points than Hillsdale which shows they have played a tougher schedule IMO. The teams Oak Hill beat won far more games than the teams Hillsdale beat.

I don't think you can really get a good picture by looking at it this way.

Oak Hill got 55.5 second level points from ND and Symmes Valley. 10 of the wins for those two schools were against D6 teams. The 2 best "point wins" for Hillsdale were Manchester (33 points) and Smithville (20.5). Hillsdale was Manchester's only D5 or lower game while Smithville only played 2 D6 teams.

I guess what I am getting at is that while it is true that the Oaks defeated opponents won more games, I feel that Hillsdale's opponents played much tougher schedules.

Good luck to the Oaks. I am really hoping to have 3 of the 4 semi-finalist in region 19 come from the SOC.

Hillsdale is a jet sweep and option team that gets in the I every now and then. They are really not a power knock you off the ball team or a zing it around through the air team.

That is crazy.
Any team that travels more than 90 minutes should have OHSAA put them up the night before the game and the night they play.

Especially the Friday games when you basically force the away school to let the kids leave school early to have time to get there, eat, dress, warm up, etc. 170 miles on a bus has to take what 3 1/2 hours? Finish the game at like 10:30 shower, pack, load up to leave close to 11:15 only get back to your home school around 3:00 AM is crazy let alone dangerous to the fans making the drive and the drivers of the buses.
