WK 6 (0-5,0-3) Gallia Academy @ (3-2,1-1) Portsmouth SEOAL

Post by Portsmouth98 »

Portsmouth looks to build on this weeks win against Chillicothe and last weeks strong showing against Jackson. Gallia Academy is looking for their first win of the season against a team they have had a ton of success against the last 20 years or so.

Gallia Academy is improving every week. Mistakes are still killing us. If we cut down on them,we will win some games.

Gallia has flat out had our number no matter how good we are or how bad they are. I take nothing for granted in this game. They have played a heck of a schedule and competed well at times this year. This should be a close game and hopefully my Trojans can get the Devil off their back this year.

I've only seen Gallia Academy once this year, but from what I can tell, they're definitely an improving football team. They have a lot of good athletes and some good size. If they can get healthy and avoid turnovers, I think they'll be quite a challenge for the Trojans. I would probably pick Portsmouth to get the win, but it should be a close ball game, in my opinion.

A couple of weeks ago, I thought this was one that Gallia might sneak into the win column. Portsmouth has shown spunk lately so my head says the Trojans win. Don't be shocked, however, if........

I like what I've seen the last couple of weeks from this team. Since Casey Sanders returned to the lineup we are so much better on offense. Our run game has come alive the last 2 weeks. This team was a roughing the kicker away from being 4-1 and 2-0 in the SEOAL(and it was a roughing the kicker I'm not making excuses). If we can find balance in the offense we will win this game. Gallia has played a very tough schedule and is always ready for the Trojans. Don't over look the Gallia team Trojans. They will play you hard for every second of the game. That 0-5 record is not an indication of a bad team as much as a tough schedule, new coach, and new system. Gallia has some players and they will be ready for you. We need to win this game and setup a match up next week with a Warren team that should be coming in to the Coliseum undefeated on the season. I know 1 game at a time is what we need to focus on. This game is a must for this team.

Is it true that Coach Fenick is going back to the spread this week?

It seems Casey Sanders is true asset to this team. He brings so much emotion and energy that it rubs off on the rest of the team. He makes others want to play there best.
