SEOAL Book/Documentary?

Post by NYBuckeye96 »

I wonder if anyone will write a book and/or documentary about the SEOAL from its founding in 1925 to its ending in 2017?

Most of the records seem to be available, at least for football, so it shouldn't be that hard to compile. For other league sports, it might be more difficult to find that information.

Is Athens still first with 166 titles? Logan was about 30 back

Was Athens' won-loss record in the SEOAL in football even over 50%?

Or are you counting golf, tennis, corn-hole and the like?

I'm working on a football record book.

I've got scores/locations for every game played by an SEOAL school (including non-league) with only a couple of missing scores. I'm only missing a couple of All-SEOAL teams as well.

Randy Heath, I believe, has the all-time standings for ALL SEOAL sports. Craig Dunn has shared some of that with me from time to time.

Randy's done an amazing job chronicling not just the SEOAL, but southeastern Ohio sports.

Randy's catches a lot of flack but his passion for our part of the world here in SE Ohio is genuine. Be interesting to see if he works on some sort of narrative about the league.

Do you know if Mr Heath has the info on a site? Do you know if there is anyone or anywhere we can find basketball, boys and girls info? or other sports?

I see my post that I took 20 minutes typing is gone. honestly I feel that is unfair. somebody was talking about teams cutting and running from the league. I had a very important post as to why I think it happened. nothing disrespectful anywhere on the post. I don't think it's fair for it to be taken down. I don't ridicule or harass anybody here. and I have had one username here for 11 years now.that's as honest as I can be. I just think it was unjust.YTB

A note for the books. Logan is the only team to go 14 and 0 in league play.

Warren is the only team to win three titles in a row 2004/05/06 tied with Gallipolis in 2006

Im surprised Nelsonville didn't have a better baseball record. The Greyhounds won the state championship in baseball in 1967. It was the final athletic game of any sport for the Greyhounds as the consolidation took effect immediately following.

Anyone know how many SEOAL championships Nelsonville won in any sport? I'm guessing they won some basketball titles. I was always told the Greyhounds were most successful at basketball. They were state runner up in basketball in 1952. I know they won the SEOAL in 1952, as they only lost one SEOAL game in basketball that year.
