Even though this is a big rival game between these two, I see the Tigers running over, through, and around the Trojans all night long. Ironton is really starting to come together, and well, the Trojans are going in the opposite direction.

Ironton 48
Portsmouth 7

Ironton should win this game, but when it's Ironton v. Portsmouth, you can throw the records out the window.

I look for a good old-fashioned rivalry game, good luck to both teams and may it be an injury free contest.

Portsmouth seems to have all the pieces. They are big, fast, and have a solid QB. If they can put it all together they will be tough. I'd love to see Portsmouth dig in and make this a great game. Good luck to both teams!

If Portsmouth is to challenge Ironton they have be able to score several touchdowns.......something that has been hard to come by for our offense.

Our defense played well enough to win the Gallia Academy and Warren games, giving up only 16 points total, but unfortunately we could muster only 7 points total in those 2 games......not enough for the W.

The Fighting Tigers are a good football team........hopefully our kids will come out and execute with few penalties and no turnovers, making IHS work for everything they get.

GO TROJANS!!!

ironton executed their game plan great last night. they were hitting on all cylinders. if they continue this , they may be hard to beat the rest of the season. the points from jackson alone vaulted us from 9th. to 3rd. it was surely a cash cow. the people from jackson are such nice people. got with gma1 last night and her family. had a great time. i sure hope that cody huff is okay. and number 5 went off with what loooked like a shoulder problem, hopefully just a stinger.

but this is a whole new beast. portsmouth ironton, is the second longest rivalry in the state of ohio. i've seen either twam be down, and upset the other. throw all records in the lake. these 2 like ta get it on. smashmouth football. trap game for ironton, if they don't realize last week is over. super bowl type atmosphere at portsmouth who is uncharictaristically struggling this year. this will be a slobberknocker. but if we protect the ball like we did this friday. i'd have to say the nod goes to the fighting tigers. but they dare not be thinking about the showdown at nelsonville york. next week. gotta take care of the trojans first.
