Any reason why? I can't believe they are going to try to play on Labor Day. I'm sure some people may have had plans to go out of town over the weekend.

Oz, in your first post you say Green will be playing Rock Hill and in the seoncd one it's Fairveiw. Which one is it? Is it the Green game that was cancelled or the Valley/Rock Hil game?

Do the Canadien high school teams play under the same rules as the CFL or do the play by the same rules Ohio schools play by?

Do they have 20 yard end zones in high school?

The canadian team just had a nice drive, adjusting, they are throwing long bombs, and this possession mixed up the run with two first downs before i town stopped them. They have fumbled once giving ironton their first score... their line is HUGE college size....they just finished summer league(think aau) football last week in canada, being ontario champions, and start high school football play next week....
Ironton scored on three attempts with freeman running it in...ironton 21 canada zip.

Canadian team put together another nice series with several long pass attempts and two nice runs. Keeping I town honest, but finally had to punt...
I town at the 27 to start this series.. Ironton answering with passing and doing fair. Just missed a long td bomb off the fingertips, then answered with a first down ten yard pass. Schweikart tried to pass again, but had to scramble and it is now second and seven. second qrtr awaits...
Ironton airing it out with long passes, just off the finger tips twice in a row for eventual td's. Just completed a screen for 11 yds, with a 21 yard run.
Lamb runs for 31/ threatening again, t.o.....

Brice scrambles to the nine yd line after seven yd gain. 3rd down with chance freeman scoring from nine yards out. freeman with two td's with 3 touches. kick is good. I town 28 Canada zero.

BTW pre game interview with canadian coach was awesome... they have played in cleveland and akron the past two seasons and love to come to ohio to learn more about football. They brought a few fans and what is odd is they play while school is in session on fridays, so parents have to take off work, and those interested in watching the games, around two hundred, come and watch. They are in awe of seeing 2k fans or more(cleveland/akron) and most athletes play hockey. some play both, and football is growing there with the success of the team ironton played two seasons ago, st thomas moore, which is their rivalry. Ironton just threw another bomb for a td to lamb.

Mt. caramel scores after recovering their own fumble and QB reverses field to the opposite side and runs it in, after previously mounting anine play sixty five yard drive, with a thirty five yard completion. Ironton 35 Canada six.

The extra point was missed and with 11:54 to go in the 1st half, Valley 7 - Rock Hill 6.
