After the Sheridan game I think Coach Wolfe knows he got his work cut out for him.Against Sheridan the interior line blocking was mediocre at best except for the two McCarty runs.The one wide reciever made a beautiful block to spring McCarty open for his 2nd TD.The passs blocking was not to bad.On D the linebackers were non existant as were the secondary.But it's early and the kids will learn the system and what is expected of them.If Lancaster decides to throw the ball it could be a long long night for Logan.If Logans offensive line fixes their problems of blocking and springing some holes for McCarty Logan could make a game of it.I still pick Lancaster by 14 points but in my heart and for the kids and Coach Wolfe I would like Logan to pull off a stunner by 2 points.These kids are very young and are going to make alot of mistakes but they will learn how to win.

Just a thought--but I think Logan DBs play too close.When a runner gets through the line no one in there to get an angle on the runner---seems to be catch up for them

Good point, along with missed tackles and assignments. Our defence must improve!

and if you notice they rarely ever have a free safety roaming the middle of the field which is asking for trouble when your crowding the los and playing man to man because if the linebackers don't get there who is left?

Don't worry, Lancaster's running backs will stop when they cross the goal line so Logan doesn't have to worry about chasing them too far. :-D

That's good news I'm sure they will be thankful for that, but your defense might have to blow a little wind chasing our back as well

locos..I wish I could be a little more help than I am going to be but have been busy this summer and haven't been around the team as much. I know West is suspended for the first 5 games and we have two very good underclasman battling for HB spots and I believe but don't qoute me Luke Roberts will be getting reps at FB.

On defense I am not sure who the corners are going to be but at the two safety spots I am told it will be Jones and Sharp and I believe we have a sophomre starting at that third linebacker slot. I will try to get some better info for you before game time

As much as it pain's me, my prediction is;

Lancaster 41

Logan 20

To Big, To Fast and To Deep! Also Logan must find a defense!

... Best of luck to Coach Wolfe and the Purple Friday night as both teams take the lid off of the 2011 season!!! Not much "discussion", enthusiasm for Friday night's game at Lancaster from students in the Logan hallways ... so unlike years past ... hopefully a good showing at Lancaster will light a fire under the Logan Locos student section ...

Go Purple!

If WLOH 1320am covers the gales again this season which they should. They normally have a link on their website to listen live via the internet
