Can’t see West winning this one.

I’ll take Waverly at home.

Opening night for SOC games, will be curious to see how all the games play out.

As for Waverly, they begin their quest towards an SOC title. And it must start with a win against a West squad who will be looking for the upset. West has nothing to lose, so they will give the Tigers their best shot. Any time you play West you know they will be very physical and look to dominate the line. Waverly needs to match that physicality every play. I look for the Tigers to try and establish a run game early. I expect to see maybe a little bit more Hurd than we did last week. This will be a good game for him to get reps and get more comfortable. Last week gassing Granville, I think the game was moving a little too fast for him which is expected. So Waverly wanted to go with the veterans toward the end of the game when they handed it off.

As long as Waverly is able to stop the run and the O-line opens up holes and protects Shanks, I think the Tigers win by a few scores.

They held ND to 1 first down but had the bad play to open. West has 2 freshman WRs who can make some moves. West also played without Luke Bradford, West’s best returning player in the secondary. West does seem to struggle containing long passes which could be bad.

I'm not so sure about this offensive line. Watching Waverly run through it at will right now. I'm interested to see how many sacks Waverly ends up with.

Yeah, no where near an accurate assessment. Home fans always view their teams with rose colored glasses. Wait another 1-2 yrs West will be there, not ready this year for the big teams.

I don’t know which offensive line you are talking about these guys aren’t good.

I don’t think 1-2 years will do it they are rough up there.

Its 49-0. Unless the refs are gonna start blocking and tackling, I dont see how they are coming into play.

I hope that was sarcasm?? Refs had nothing to do with this game!! Waverly could have pinned a 100 on them tonight if they wanted.

Pretty obvious the above poster is a troll

Waverly is as advertised. Most athletes of that caliber on one team I've seen from this area in a long time. Quarterback has college accuracy, arm strength, and gets the ball where it needs to be on time. They are impressive. Defense is fast and will give any spread team fits. Could be succeptable to power rushing. The SOC goes through Waverly this year

One of the best overall teams Waverly has had in a while. Offense is explosive with many weapons and the defense is much better then last year.
The league still goes through Wheelersburg until somebody beats them.

Waverly does have everything all the above posters have mentioned. Question for me is, when the weather is bad, when the passing game is slowed down, can Waverly lineup and run the ball?? Can the defense stop the run when called on to do so?
