Yes I understand this won't be a popular post.

It is your opinion....This Pirate Team does not think that way... As a fan I did not see us dominating a very good Liberty Union Team with 23 seniors that lost to this all mighty , whole different level Hartley Team 14-7 ....However The Burg Team thought and showed what they are about with a 41-3 win !!!! I did not think that they would Beat a very good Ironton Team by 31 tonight.. Again they showed us they did.... This Team has everything a Great Team needs to win it all.... So the Pirates do not care about opinions of others.. They will be ready to win one game at a time.... Most people , including Hartley has this game already won... This Orange Black Team will have something to say come next saturday night on the field...
Remember when Jackson rolled Burg by 30? Yea, Hartley dominated Desales.

Keep talking Wheelersburg.

It was /8 not 30. Two points don't make a difference but the butis not gonna just play dead and give them the win U can guarantee that

Here come the ignorant Catholic jokes, you guys do realize that Wheelersburg has Catholics playing on their team as well, hard to believe? Crawl out from under the rock you have been living in.

Sorry, but I'm with The Oaf, Burg may compete for a half but Hartley will be too much in my opinion. 42-14

Wheelersburg has the size up up front to at least compete in the trenches, so they may be able to push Hartley. But Hartley is a different animal.
I would like to see a southern ohio team beat them, but Hartley will win handily.

I heard Hartley has already won!!! 100000- (-21) man burg got spanked and hartley changed their mascot to a daddy! Bishop Hartley (daddy's) lol y'all are lame! I agree that Hartley is probably the better team, but the way I see it they are kids just like the burg kids so........ Burg keeps it very close!

It happened so fast. I didn't even see it coming.

The meat and taters kids are coming to play. Anything can happen.

Sad to say this will be the end for at least this one SE team. Hartley could beat most teams in bigger divisions including anyone in Region 9 DIII and above. Just the truth of it. A friend of mine was at the Desales/Hartley game since he has a boy in the system for Desales and they were stanging by the fence where Hartley walked out. He said they were huge didn't even look like a high school team, it was unreal he said.

They're in chains, like Pirate offense next week, lol. Hawks defense is playing tough.

I'm not sure he gave you the right observation. They aren't huge by any means. Seen plenty of game tape and that's not the case. They are fundamentally sound and play tough. That's why they win games.

Easier said than done. But I'm going with a 21-20 win either way.

It's easy to have great players when you can choose your players. Hartley is not a community, where kids grow up together, playing together. They are strategically placed team of all stars. Imagine if burg could add welch from west, Rolfe from valley, Robinson from Portsmouth, madden from minford, just to name a few. That's what Hartley has done, but their days are numbered when they will be bumped up due to the new rules. Then we will see how that works out. The burg can beat Hartley. It's going to take a great effort, but west showed awhile back that the king of the recruiting hill can be brought down.

Let's go pirates!

What is keeping a kid from transferring to a different school around our area? Last I checked, nothing. It's all about "pride", which gets in the way majority of the time.

I know for a fact that Burg gains kids from outside Wheelersburg to play sports, if you say they don't then pull the sheet back over your head.

It's always the excuse at the end of the night.

"We lost because they recruit!"
"cheaters!"

Burg wins a State Championship in baseball over private schools, so what is your point?

Scioto County has WAY TOO MANY schools for the area and population. This is the ultimate problem.

You guys are killing me, transfers happen at all schools. Palladino, south point. Cox, rock hill.
The burg has two kids from new boston. That's not the issue.
Private schools have people beating down the door with wanting to be accepted. Who's going to accepted first, the a-b student with an inspiration to be an insurance agent or the kid who runs 4.4 forty.

There is a huge difference between transferring and acceptance

I believe the new rule says you have to be there since junior high, or otherwise the kid will be counted as 8.
