Pretty clever how you left yourself an out if by some miracle the weak Athens team should happen to win. It will be because Shawnee wasn't healthy enough.

You are a joke. I doubt if anyone takes you seriously because your obvious hatred and bitterness toward Athens askews every point you attempt to make.

By the way, you may have heard that 4 southeastern Ohio teams won playoff games last week, 2 of which by blowout. But of course that's because the rest of the region is really down this year... or not healthy, or whatever....

Can we please leave all of this banter off of this thread? Paladin and greatone are allowed their opinions and while their delivery is often presented in a raw, harsh, and sometimes even disrespectful way, they still at times have valid points contained in their statements. I don't think any team still playing in week 12 gives a hoot what people think of them, their schedules, or anything else except playing another game.

Well said A-Town

No team playing in week 12 is weak, or not very good. They all earned the right to be there on the field of play. Now you may still have some lopsided scores around the State, but that doesn't mean the losing team was weak or poor, just that the other team is pretty darn good. All in All, there are around about 650 teams in Ohio who wish they were still playing. Best of luck to both teams.

Good Luck Bulldogs. Looks like you're going to have to outscore everybody from here on out. That hasn't been a problem so far this year. Keep 'em flying!

To folks from the Athens area who are driving to Hamilton Twp High School via US route 33: As you are coming around the southeast side of Columbus on I-270, if your GPS or MapQuest says to take exit #49 to Alum Creek Drive to Rathmell, I strongly recommend you do NOT go that route for a couple of reasons:

- Alum Creek Dr can be pretty congested - very heavy truck traffic
- Alum Creek Dr is torn up with construction, and was actually closed last weekend
- Rathmell Rd can be confusing with 3 or 4 turns you have to take while going through the villages of Obetz and Reese before you get to the school, especially as it gets darker earlier.

Instead, I suggest going past the Alum Creek Dr exit and continue to the next exit on I-270 , which is exit # 52-B to US 23 south/Circleville. From there go 1.3 miles on US 23, and turn left at Rathmell, and go 1.7 miles to the school, which will be on the right. The US 23 route will be a mile or two longer but much simpler and easier, and you will be glad you took it.

If you travel early and want to stop for dinner in the southern Columbus area, simply continue going north on US 23 from the I-270 interchange, and you will see eating establishments on both sides of the road for the next 1.25 miles, culminating with the Ohio Deli of Food Network fame. The standard fast-food places are mostly on the left/west side of 23. Most of the sit-down restaurants will be on the right (east) side of the road: Bob Evans, a Chinese buffet, Mexican restaurant. There is a Ponderosa steakhouse buffet is on the left. If you want to go another mile or so further, there is a very nice Chinese place called the Rice Bowl on the right that I highly recommend, just before you hit SR 104.
