2 + 4 + 5 + 12 + 13 + 29 + 32 = LONG Night for a secondary...

If I were to list every Burg impact player's number in this forum, may take up the 12 pages we are working towards...

Like a buddy of mine said who came to the game Friday night from another state, I've never seen a player like #2 or a team like this in high school....

Jackson is an excellent team too...Friday can't come soon enough!

So who are the speedsters out of that bunch?
McCoy has the wheels.

Graham-Storms-Haller just prefer to run through people, although each of them in their own right are not slow by any means.

Evans and Ball will get some touches as well from the slot position or wide out spot.

I am not a track guy but I think McCoy, Ball and Evans are three-fourths of the 4x100 group that has set the Jackson school record or is close to setting it. But I am not 100% sure on that lol, but most of it is probably close to right.
McCoy Evans and Ball are all speedsters, they have the school record. These guys are 4.4 and 4.5 guys in the 40. The other guys are not slow by any means. The defense is fast at every position.
Evans ran track? When did they beat the old 4x1 record set by Shane Wolford, Shannon Smith, Rodney Campbell and....Johnny King?

I just know both Coach Halls have a lot of fun coaching these types of games. Coach Larry always liked to come up with defenses that would give an offense fits. I know since Cold H2O beat the Burg they have reinvented themselves as coaches and as a team. The Burg kids are more of a team than I have ever seen. The Burg team should accomplish great things this year. You notice I say team. I believe this game is going to make a lot of kids grow up in a hurry and you will see a real test of will on Friday night. I am not going to give a score because I respect the Coach Halls and love Pirate football. This is going to be good.

I have not seen burg play yet. I am sure they are loaded. But there is something to me that seems to be a little bit different with Jackson this year. I think it is the confidence of knowing who you are. A lot of years in past Jackson seems to get a little over hyped up kids trying to do a little more then they are capable. And that usually leads to a few mistakes. Also this team to me seems to be a little bit more secure with the ball.

I think this will be a real battle but for some reason I like Jackson like 36-35

If Jackson was to win and Burg lose what do you think would have to happen in your mind?
Honestly I'm not 100% on burg rolling! It will be a close one.
However, for Jackson to win.. need to be physical with Holden. That will keep them from having to double cover him or creep your safety in on him. 2nd they will need to keep pressure on salyers. He throws decent on the run, but only looks for Holden will being rushed. Also salyers isn't very fast he's not as effective with his feet.. 3rd Jackson will need to sustain long drives, eating as much clock as possible. 4th Jackson will need to wear down a team that is at least 3 deep in every position. 5th minimize burgs big plays. And #1!!!! Recover the onside kick!!! Hahaha

I was going to say you missed a few, lol. This team is uber talented. On the defensive side they are just as lethal. Everyone plays a key roll into the success of this program. It's just fun to watch.

For Jackson to win, they'll have to keep it in the lower 20's. no way they score 36. That's more than Burg has given up all year. The defense will make them earn it IF they score. I don't see a shootout going in Jacksons favor. I mean, I could be wrong, there is a first time for everything. 😂

i was thinking burg would hav eat least 4 big plays or short drives for td's that would mean Jackson needing 5 scores.that is how i guesed a score.

Completely agree! I could list at least another 20 numbers like those above, who would be the top players on any team that they played for.

The best offense and best defense I've seen this year was when I was driving by the Burgs practice tonight.

Go Burg!

That darn onside kick. Gets em every time. Lol. If they do double cover Holden, look for the TE on a shallow cross to be wide open or the opposite side wide open on a seem route. They have the route runners. They will have to stay completely honest with Salyers running the offense. He doesn't get single vision often. He can go through his progressions and find the open man. You're right BG6. He isn't as fast as Dyer, however, he is very elusive and he does step up into the pocket to avoid pressure. He is a solid QB. jackson will have to be careful when they blitz. There is the potential to get burnt real fast.

I was looking at the Ap poll this week and was surprised to see Burg at #4 and West at #7. Burg should probably be at least 1 or 2.

No worries here. They are all from the northern parts of the state. In there defense, Burg hasn't made it over the hump. They will have to go out and prove they are #1.

Record was set in 4x200, and are just 10th of a sec off several other records. Evans has ran before but not last year. I look for 3 or 4 more records to be broke this year in track.

When you are a 90 percent run team, I bet you wouldn't look good in a 7 on 7. Lol
