Imo, opinion it is hard to be disiplined in this defense, that can be a problem in a gap-control scheme, a lot of times players can over run the play, and a D. Coordinator will blitz his inside linebackers out of a play. As far as that it is hard to defend. I gives the same problem that 5-3 gives (its leaves a lb unblocked if not spread out), and its pretty unpredictable for the players

I'd run the veer against it!

A split veer would be great against it, so would a good old fashioned Power out of the Twins I...
