Manchester Football 2009

Post by sider »

Does anyone now anything about them? I take it they return a lot of players, but how is weightlifting going? Do they have coaching staff? Just curious

I hope all of the young men who played and are still in school comes back out and gives it 110% again this season. I also hope they can get a friend or three to go out for the team this season.

sider,

Nice post. I too am curious as to how the Greyhounds are shaping up for 2009. That first win will come in due time! It will be a very memorable night for all involved in Manchester Football!

I would think they would be very hungry for that big W, after what they went through last year. Best of Luck!

Manchester's first win already came in 1932. They beat the Wheelersburg Pirates. The score was around 12-6.

But I wouldn't recommend scheduling Wheelersburg just yet this time around but the time may come when they renew that old rivalry.

Good luck to the greyhounds.

I really think our school should be playing Manchester. These would prolly be a very good series.

Did anyone actually watch them play last year. I knew they had a wide open offense, but I heard it was pretty bad, that kids didn't know how to play football (which is understandable)

I saw them last year. Yes, they ran a wide open offense. Yes, it was bad. The wide open offense led to much of the horrendous scores due to allowing too many plays in the game and the incomplete passes stopping the clock, therefore stretching the game out even longer.

right now, our off season weightlifting has around 9 guys there, but hopfully when basketball season is over we will get some more. I think the staff is going to remain the same from last year but its kinda early to tell
