Week 8: Northwest @ Valley

Post by ZacBrownBand »

Valley coming off of a very impressive, very big win over West. Northwest coming off of a loss to Minford.

I see Valley getting past this one, no problem, and remain undefeated. Northwest just can't compete to this very good Indian team.

Yates, Keller, and Dwyer will be, basically, unstoppable. Brown for NW is a good player, and if he can get some big runs he could keep it interesting. But IMO that won't be very likely

Valley by about how ever much they want. JV gets some action on Friday

No knock to the Brown kid from NW, but he only got 26 yards against Minford. I dont see him having much luck against Valley with the line play the Mohawks bring to the table.

Valley big.

I see Valley putting this away by the end of 1st half, come out for a series to start the 3rd and then Jv's roll in for playing time and varsity getting some rest.

Valley by a bunch. Indians have to stay healthy going into the big week 9 showdown at Burg and obviously the big rivalry game at Minford in week 10. Valley has to jump out on Northwest early and not allow the Mohawks to hang around and build any momentum in this one!! Valley can't afford any letdown after last night's huge win over West.

Let's go Purple!!!!!

Double Dwyer, Get lil kids on Dline to shoot the gaps Valley gives on the oline. Get them to go straight towards Yates. If Valley runs wide, which they do very well, have smart kids that can help seal the edge and negate kellers cutback ability. Gap management! Cover the gaps and u can stop Valley if U got Dwyer doubled. hard to do, but not impossible!

Heck, dont double Dwyer, just beat him up on the first 5 yards! Screw up the timing. He is tall but stick thin. But he has great hands and yates has great touch on the ball.

Double teaming wont work on Dwyer , Pass interference is the only way to stop him and Yates hooking up . Seen him personally touch 11'6 at the Zane Trace classic last year in basketball, They had these tabs that you pull down on one of there walls amazing . My opinion Yates will throw it up and Dwyer will come down with it 90% of the time .

Didnt you say "West by at least 2 TDs"?

Anyways, Valley has alot of respect for NW and I look for this to be 42-14 score. Valley will get some younger kids playing time and get everyone rested. Time to go up to Wheelersburg and get it done...
