Somebody up above on here pointed out the major reason why few SE teams are perched in the Final Four in all sports every year, and it is because the most we can get out through the regional is one.
The tourneys are set up so that only one team from SE can possibly get out of the region, and they will have to play somebody from god knows where to get to the Final Four.
Example: in 2001, Eastern (Meigs) had to play Symmes Valley in the first round of the regionals. After winning that game, they had to beat a team from Mansfield to get to the final four.
When Gallia Academy had its 1999 playoff run, they had to play a team from Dayton in the regional.
