They have played each other for years. Before Athens was in the TVC and for years it was a even matched series. Being in the same county helps as well.
Both schools love to beat each other.

The Bulldog defense has been playing very well so far this year, and that stays the same tonight. I'll say Athens 35-14

The Spartans competed, but we just could not match the offense that Athens could put up. Both defenses played well, but Athens' run game was too much in the end. I would say Athens' size wore out the Spartans interior.

It will not get much easier for the boys from Albany going forward. They just need to keep working to get better and come together and play as one.
