It's way too early to be talking all of that.

I think Chesapeake is best team in OVC. but think it might be hard for any of those teams to go undefeated.

The only people saying that are parents that have kids on the team.

And those are the same parents that were calling for Knipps head 2yrs ago.. Lol
But from what I saw last week, playing even with a bad oak hill team until late in the game the Redmen might not be as good as they think they are! 10-0 IMO is not possible for any OVC team as the conference is too heavy with "DECENT" teams and I say this bc the top teir of the OVC this year have got their wins against not very good teams! These decent teams RH, CG, Peake, Ironton, Ptown are going to have to absolutely beat up on each other week in and week out to win the league. I won't be surprised if it is a shared conference title this year.

I don't think Oak Hill is as bad as you think. Chesapeake could go anywhere from 7-3 to 10-0. Minford (Oak Hill's Week 2 opponent) could go anywhere from 4-6 to 6-4. Rock Hill could go anywhere from 7-3 to 10-0. Those are two really good opponents and another who plays in a cut-throat league, the SOC 2. So, on one end, those teams could combine to go 18-12. However, on the other hand, which is more likely, those teams could end up a combined 25-5. Yes, I included Chesapeake or Rock Hill winning their match-up. That could definitely happen. So, rather than saying Oak Hill is a "bad" team, wouldn't you sat they've played about 2.5 darn fine teams?

Minford is not great by any means. They are middle of the road at best. They only have a chance at finishing 3rd in the SOCII and I see that as highly unlikely. I think West will beat them. The knly win they will get is against Valley. Putting the at 1-3 in SOCII play.

I will say this and only this at this point, hey they are 3-0. so anything is possible. you can't talk about 10-0, if you ain't 3-0. but I know the rock hill staff is not stressing this but rather getting prepared for Portsmouth.

Minford- not good (2-1)
Oak hill- not good (0-3)
Symmes valley- not good (1-2)
Alexander- not good (1-2)
Northwest- not good (0-3)
Lucasville valley- not good (0-3)
Portsmouth west- not good (1-2)

There are 3 unbeaten teams in the OVC right now. These teams above are the teams they have beaten.... Minford has a winning record because they have played Oak Hill and Paintvalley. Chesapeakes, Rock Hills, And Coal Groves opponents combine to be (5-16)..... These three teams haven't proven anything and won't face tough competition until they play each other.

the ovc is weaker and down some right now. it''ll get better -- but the parity in the league now is awesome.

Funny how some say the OVC is down just b/c the Tigers aren't running away with it. OVC this year shouldn't be considered down. From what I see, it's gonna be a very competitive league for years to come.
