Like to see Alexander pull this one out. Peak is good and the Spartans will need to play error free ball.

Turnovers will be critical. Chesapeake forced 8 Oak Hill turnovers last week but couldn't convert all of them to points. For the peake to win they have to cash in on Alex's mistakes

Alex was better team last year and had their worst game of the year vs Peake. This year it will take their best game and hopefully Peake has their worst game for the Spartans to win this.

Good luck to the Panthers. I hope you guys are undefeated when the Trojans come to town.

Good luck to the Trojans as well. Was very disappointed at the state of Portsmouth football when the Peake played there last year, glad it's turning the corner.

Will this game be on the radio/internet?

I don't know how service is in Albany, but Peake Sports Facebook page usually tries to broadcast the game live on periscope. I'm sure it'll be on the radio somewhere too

What does Alexander return? Key players? Who to watch for?

I honestly don't think Alex will be able to pull out the win. They have 2 kids and that's it. Chesapeake is a whole lot better than Fed Hock.

I hope the Spartans win. I'll be pulling for them.

Yeah, hopefully it will be more even this year. Seems like when the Trojans play the Panthers, they either win in a blowout or get blown out.

I remember a 70-44 something type of score at Spartan one year. Whacky.

I think tvc is way weak this year but Chesapeake is down a little to should be a good contest. I think Chesapeake gets a win

Spartans are gonna get better each week. Will they improve enough to knock off the Panthers this week is really the questions.

Chesapeake is the favorite - both teams rebuilding, but Chesapeake the more consistently strong program and hard to see past that.

But the "new" Alexander Spartans have been fighting against that thinking for two years now.

Chesapeake is down and rebuilding? First time I've heard that. After talking to an Alex supporter this game might not even be close. Alex has a good QB and RB tandem after that I was told it falls off HARD. Said they have some good size lineman that do a lot of standing. Initially I said Peake in a close one but not I'm saying Peake by 2+ TD's

Not sure where people are hearing The Peake is down or rebuilding, but with the best skill players in the southeast they are along way from rebuilding. If Alexander doesn't bring their A game this game could be a blow out. I think 50-14 The Peake.

Chesapeake is far from down people. Last year's team finished 8-3, they should equal that or do even better

8-3 or better would be great!! But let's remember the top half of the OVC is fairly even. Ironton is still the Champs until somebody beats them which should be soon, Coal Grove, Rock Hill, Portsmouth and Chesapeake could all win the conference. Heck one of these teams could end up 6-4 with 4 conference losses, they will be beating up on each other week in and week out! Should be a fun and exciting year.

Good news is, Chesapeake gets Coal Grove and Portsmouth at home this year. Ironton game away doesn't really bother me, but the game at Rock Hill is a scary one
