I may be in the minority here but I think Harvest Prep is not as good as last year. Their QB broke a couple of long runs against Burg and Burg fumbled twice inside HP 20 as well as ended the game on the HP 1 foot line, coming away empty on those 3 possessions. Some have mentioned Barnesville but don’t overlook Columbus Academy! Ironton is the favorite until someone beats them

Barnesville has only played two teams that were above D6. One finished 1-9 , the other was 6-4. Their opponents combined record is 48-51. I still think it’s going to come down to Burg, Ironton, or Prep as the champion.

I thought the same thing having watched Burg vs Prep…prep looked similar to the last couple years in all phases except QB play, which took a step back. Unless he was just having a bad night throwing the ball, he’s really only a threat running it.

IHS still has a lot of talented players. The favorite to win the region even with their issues.
Likely but that's because the region is weaker top to bottom than a couple of the other d5 regions in my opinion.
True. I highly doubt the D5 state champ is coming out of region 19.
They state champion will be coming out of reg 17 or 18 like it always does.

Well only time will tell if Ironton can get their act together and play as they should play with that talent.
Or does Burg have what it takes to run the table or does Harvest prep get it's revenge on a sloppy Ironton team to win the region.
And then does any of these teams have what it takes to win it all.
We shall know in the next six weeks if it comes to fruition or not.
Good luck to all the local teams and may they all play well and come out injury free.

100% agree.
Honestly cannot believe it fell this way. I think we all can agree its Ironton, HP, Burg as the top 3 teams in this region -- in that order. For Burg to land at 7 and HP at 4 is a stroke of luck for the Pirates. Fairland is a weak 2 seed. Burg will sleepwalk to the Regional final. Giving this team a second crack vs either Ironton or HP, with nothing to lose... Oh boy watch out. We could very well see Burg come out of this region.
Fairland is going to give the burg all they want and may even win the game. They’ve had one bad game this year. Don’t sleep on them.
too bad they didn't get the chance huh @Jonjon
