West has not had trouble scoring so far. Racked up over 500 yards on the ground this past week. Wellston was one of the worst teams I ever seen last year. I expect they are improved. If we improve on kickoff coverages, I don’t think this one will be close.

28-10 West at the half. Wellston has improved a lot in a year. Still not there but I give them props for trying hard with not a lot of kids. Our playmakers have had some big plays. Still a lot of missed tackles on D

Another slow start. But after halftime we got rolling. Opened up the passing game some. Glad to see Tipton get some big throws in. Bishop had atleast 2 big catches where he just went up and got it. That’s how you help an inexperienced QB. Bishop is a threat anytime he touches the ball. He got the ball on a jet sweep one play, cut back to the other side on a dime, and just left the rockets in the dust. Looks like he plays at a different speed. Parker continues to rack up stupid numbers. Not sure what his final stats were but he just does it all. Entering this week he was top 10 in the state for rushing yards and tackles. I think it’s about time he gets some respect as a contender for back of the year in the SOC.

Wellston hats off to you guys. Last year was rough, and the score doesn’t indicate everything. IMO the kids looked way more composed. There is some bright spots to work with. Coach has the kids going in the right direction. I also thought the media stream was high quality. From what I gathered the normal guys who are commentators had a family emergency. I hope everything turns out alright. And good job to the guys that stepped in last minute. Wish we could get something like that going.
