Tip of the iceberg. God and consequences are “old school”. Get some popcorn and enjoy the show. Should not be at risk in all public places but we are.

The reality is this is our world now, hats off for them taking extra cautions to try and make ppl feel as safe as possible. Parents allow their kids to just to a game and knowing there's safety measures in place is a good thing.

In the words of Al Pacino in the movie HEAT.
."you can get killed walkin ya doggie."

Just live ya life. Safety is an illusion.

In red town america meth and fentanyl addiction/overdoses have changed the landscape. And in red town america they rely on BLUE cities to support all.their needs cause they are broke.

Wonder what a google search of heroin meth or fentanyl related crimes and overdoses in "small town seo" would show me?

Goofball. 🤡

Lived in DC. = no issues. Everybody has money and works and hustles. You cant make it on social assistance so u have to... not much obesity and most are active and make money.
Lived in seo = lotsa theft by heroin and meth fiends. Lotsa getting supplimented by bigger, more affluent BLUE cities cause they are BROKE. Lotsa fat and disabled and addicted.

In agreement that it's a societal issue that's not going away. You can also tie in the lack of sports Officials to this as well to an extent.....

One quick google search disproves this statement, at least in terms of murder rates. Try again Cleetus.

Any semi-public space with a mass of people incurs a risk of violence, or a threat to one’s security. The idea that this magically doesn’t exist in Southeast Ohio is hilarious.

You agree because small town red america is undereducated. Which is part of the reason why they are broke.

That’s not true. Texas and Florida are red states, and both are booming. New York, California, and Illinois (the big blue states) are financial messes. So your red/blue comments with regards to “broke” are false.

As for feeling safe at games, it really depends.
- Safe at Ironton, Burg, or Jackson? Absolutely.
- Safe at Portsmouth or West? Absolutely not.

Race is not the factor.

In general - no doubt you are safer walking down a street in small towns as opposed to big cities. There are exceptions, though.
Regarding murder rates, there is a misperception, though. Many red states have high murder rates. But, it's because of the large blue cities in those states.
Don't try to reason with lefties. It's impossible. And I'm far from uneducated.

People who don’t know how to act in public, thereby creating safety issues, exist everywhere. It has nothing to do with murder or politics.

“For the past 21 years, the top 10 murder rate states have been dominated by reliably red states, namely Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Missouri. Even when we removed the county with the largest city in Trump-voting states (and kept them in for Biden-voting states), murder rates were still significantly higher in these red states.“
