Unfortunately,
Oak Hill may win 1 game all year. Oak Hill has also never had 3 Consecutive 9 loss seasons in a row. If they lose this week, and that’s a big possibility, it’ll tie the most consecutive losses in school history at 13. The first time this occurred was from week 10 of 1960 into week 2 of 1962. It’s a shame how Oak Hill has had their woes as of recent. We’re talking about a 100 year plus history with nearly 600 wins 16 Conference Championships collectively in the OVC, SVAC, and SOC1. Not the greatest history granted but always very stable and consistent. Hopefully Kratzenburg rights the ship with time.

Oak Hill had the right guy for the job about 17 or 18 years ago. Certain someone did him dirty, then ran him off. I won't name names, but the Oaks had the man for the job and the administration drove him away even though he didn't do anything wrong or even questionable.

If Oak Hill can clean up the penalties ( like Wellston needs to) this could be a closer game than most people think.

I know exactly who you are referring to without saying particular names or parties. Unfortunately they ended up going 0-10 and that’s the only reason they needed. It was a transitory phase for the school and football and they weren’t willing to give him a chance. Oak Hill is a cemetery or graveyard for once great or good coaches. Here’s some coaches that have been at Oak Hill that became successful at other schools or are in the OHSAA HOF or OHSFCA:

Len Hellyer- Marshall HOF
Jim Hastings-Won a state championship at Port Clinton and coached Phil Simms in College
Bob Lutz (assistant coach in the late 60’s)-Coached Ironton to 2 State Championships in 1979 and 1989. Actually applied for Head Coach at Oak Hill prior to St. Joe and Oak Hill was concerned that he wouldn’t be able to guide them success.
Terry Belli-Coached at DeSales in Columbus
Jeff Conroy-guided Miami Trace to a State Semifinal Appearance
Scott Bartholomew-numerous stops and successful at every place he’s been.

Even an all state football alum can't get much of a shot at Oak Hill, I guess.
