He signed up to play a violent game. He saw Williams coming and Williams hit him square in the chest. If you don’t like it, don’t come watch. Nobody owes anyone an apology for that hit.

I would say if Warren hit like that all year they’d be better than 3-6, and have more than 2 winning seasons in 20 years… but I won’t.
If you don’t like the physicality of an inherently physical game, go find a nice, gentle non-contact sport to support. Alexander would have 1 win with our schedule. We’d have 1 loss probably with theirs. Perspective, it’s a wonderful thing.

I love the physicality of the sport. I just prefer it in competitive games and not seeing hits like that in 55-12 games. Just curious if Warrens return team always has their deepest back run directly at linemen coming downfield? Just seemed weird how he ran full speed directly at a certain player.

Football is physical, letting up can sometimes cause injuries. You warm up before the game and before the second half. Stay in the game mentally and physically.

I’m curious, would you recommend not blocking at all or going half speed against a full speed defender who has 50 pounds on you? Do you think that lineman slowed down once they got behind?

Also, I think (not positive, but others recall the same), the kid’s helmet had come off previously in the game. Looking at the video, his head may have bounced off the turf. Big hit aside, the kid may have been at a disadvantage from a safety standpoint with equipment that wasn’t properly fitted.

It wouldn’t be an issue if the team blocked and or hit like that the entire game. It was uncharacteristic to say the least. Not like Warren is known for hitting let alone knocking kids helmets off. It’s usually the other way around.

Wouldn’t you rather be the hammer than the nail? We’ve been the nail for long enough. This is the mentality that has held warren back for 20 years. Condemning hits like this and implying that we need to make sure the other team doesn’t get hit too hard when we have the chance.

78 for Alexander should've kept his head on a swivel. Warren should not even consider apologizing for what was a perfectly clean hit. And if Alexander doesn't want that to happen, don't be down 55-12 in the first place.

Absolutely , this is one of the dumbest complaints I have seen on here , on par with iron ton onside kick at the beginning of the game

Thank you. People complaining about a kid hitting an opposing player too hard in football is like complaining a kid hit a HR too far in a baseball game.
