No choice. If you don't have to maybe not but most smaller schools in Ross county don't have a choice. Usually the QB is a safety or corner on defense, the point guard on basketball team, and pitcher or shortstop on baseball team.

Both of PV's QBs, Cavan Cooper and Dax Estep, play defense. Honestly, Cavan is one of the best defensive players in the league and will most likely play defense at the next level.

A couple of Jackson’s recent QB’s have been linebackers on defense. Austin Osborne, Hunter Sexton, Jacob Winters. I just don’t think a lot of schools around here have the luxury of playing kids on one side of the ball. If you have a kid that’s a good player and good athlete he probably gonna end up playing both ways.

At Logan it has depended on the QB's skillset - but often times they have played at least some defense.

This year our QB was one of the most consistent and reliable defensive players.

Two of the best quarterbacks in the last 25 years - Joey Conrad and Patrick Angle - both played "situational" defense - i.e. 3rd downs or sometimes the first series but usually subbed out quickly esp if the team had a lead.

In the playoffs they tended to have a heavier defensive workload.

He was 3rd on the team in tackles pretty good for not playing week 1. Zaiden 64, Eli 61 and Ian 58.

Thanks. Knew he was leading tackler before zaiden came back. But that was a few weeks ago

I think the best one was Russell ky. QB played inside defensive tackle

I remember watching 2014 Athens in the playoffs and in big situations Burrow would play corner opposite Trey Williams. He played both ways essentially the entire game vs Tri Valley in the Regional Semi. Shockingly, he was good at that too.
