At least the Eagles don’t have a long trip for this one....way too much Cadets for Belpre. But is good to see Belpre in these types of games again.

With a virus case being reported at BHS by The Marietta Times, is there a chance this game will not be played?
Or maybe Its just more fake news?

From what I was told it isn't fake news. The notice said 1 or more staff or students. I heard it doesn't involve a student, so this would mean staff, and there were 3 contacts.

So by that I would conclude that it possibly could be a member of the evening janitor staff and co-workers. I wouldn't think this would put the game in jeopardy. Just my opinion because I am not affiliated with the school system other than I have friends whose kids attend.

I agree. Reinforcing these local school ties are a big part of what sports are all about. It isn't really fun for anybody if it's always a guaranteed blowout. In the last 10 years, The Golden Eagles have had a lot of average to good years. If they can turn the ship around and get good again, that would be awesome for Washington County Football. The way Warren is going, SR 339 could be the best 20 mile stretch of high school football in the region.

The FF dominance of late is contagious. All the Washington County schools will benefit. And it’s all there for them to get better. New schools. New facilities. Play off games. I think it’s great. When I think of washinton county football I can help but think of just across the River with good WV schools from Parkersburg up to wheeling back across the river to Steubenville back down to Washington county is some pretty darn good football.
