How about Oak Hill?? They border 2 of the TVC Ohio schools in RV and Wellston. Better fit then Fort Frye. But, Oak Hill is content where they are I guess. This is just all IMO.
One of the main reasons Miller left was 6-7 trips to South gallia every year

I would love to see them in the hocking in baseball and basketball. FF/ Waterford / Eastern in baseball would be fun year in and year out

Like most sports, Waterford has very few wins ever against Fort Frye.

Ff still is significantly larger than Waterford. They have 77 boys ff 132. 55 more. That's more than 70% of Waterford's total

They still have about the same number of players as Fort Frye. The number of teams in southeast/East with under 100 players in so small.

Not sure what your point is 55 more boys 9 10 11 th grade counting 12 would be around 75 or more boys if 10 of those were good athletes and play football of course it’s going to make a difference

I’m aware of that. The point being, Waterford bs Fort Frye in baseball year in and year out already happens and it isn’t a competitive series, so I’m not sure any random TVC Hocking baseball fan would enjoy FF being in the league any more than they would in football.

Waterford will take the gate for meaningless football and basketball games; I don’t foresee Waterford basically eliminating any chance it has at league titles by joining up or welcoming FF into a league in the near or far future.

The number of players who come out has zero to do with the competitive advantage. It is just one factor, but when you are talking that small of numbers, it takes something extraordinary to make a consistent difference.

My point is there isn’t enough small school teams in the area.

Yeah, it’ll always be an uphill battle for those schools. Waterford has a good enough coach right now that they should be competitive for a while, but bad timing having to up against Fort Frye when they are on a level that no one around here has ever really been.

Beallsville was a great story for years with Dave Caldwell at the helm, but those days are long gone for them. Some schools achieve things despite the odds against them, but it is always going to be an obstacle.

Ironton competitive balance number is 181. I've heard people call them the ironton all stars. Unless you have alot of home school kids, having 21 added to cb is alot for southeastern ohio

Wheelersburg is the same at 21 im not sure if your aware but prople have always called them the ironton all stars. Thats what happens when you have 9 state final appearances and all of southeastern ohio combined doesnt have that many

Understood. That connotation could me something else as well. Honestly don't care, have no dog in that fight.

NY voted yes, just like they always do for any team wanting to join. We're certainly not afraid to play anyone. Looks like a few of the schools were afraid, just like they were with Jackson, Logan, Warren and Gallia.
