Best Games
2-0 Symmes Valley v 2-0 Beaver Eastern (Great series, the home team has never won)
Portsmouth - Fairland should see some good air time
Logan - Warren should be pretty good, sure Logan is the fav
Nelsonville-York - Meigs no way NY goes 0-3? do they
Wheelersburg - Oak Hill burg should be big favs but Oak Hill is not bad
New Lexington - Meadowbrook lot of O
Adena - Westfall both 2-0

I like the Burg and Oak Hill matchup. I am surprised a thread for it hasn't been started. It sounds like Oak Hill is a very physical team and might have a running attack. The Burg seemed to have trouble with some of the mis-direction and QB runs but I attribute that to the athletes they were playing. Burg seemed to adjust to it and get rushers in the backfield as the game wore on. Being one dimensional is not good though and could bite the Oaks but you still have to tackle and play good fundamental football.

Ditto this. While Oak Hill is a heavy underdog, the Oaks will give the Burg a test in physicality, something the Pirates will need when they head to Waverly.

Questions is: was last night the deciding game for the OVC title? Methinks regardless of who would've won, either would've won out and will win the conference

OVC seems to come down to Gallia and Ironton every year, with Portsmouth occasionally making some noise.

Fairland could be co-champs

Fairland still has GA on the schedule, iirc. That's a tall task for most teams in the area. Ironton, Jackson, and probably Waverly at this point, would all put a running clock on GA, but most teams would be in for a dogfight or uphill battle.

Tri Valley at Philo. Obviously biased because from the area, but this should be a great game. Two 2-0 teams. TV lost a lot up front and philo is trying to replace a 2 year starter at qb. As usual, the team with the least mistakes will win. Usually is as a physical game with a playoff type atmosphere so we’ll see what it’s like with the small crowd.

I’m curious how many total combined yards in the air there will be between fairland and Portsmouth. Both have terrible pass defense. At least 450-500 total is my guess.

Good weekend with a lot of questions probably answered in the MVL regarding big and small. An argument could be made that you have the top two in both divisions going at it. I like the colts by a couple TDS and TV by the same.
