Future of Green Bobcat Football
With them not having enough to play on Friday, they have a good JR. high class coming up for numbers?

Re: Future of Green Bobcat Football
This is just sad.. I know football brings in money for the school. If they decide not to have football next season, how will this financially impact the school?
Re: Future of Green Bobcat Football
Would think the majority would go to Burg or Ironton due to geography . Hope it doesn't come to that. Tough situation. The district would lose the 6-7 thousand for each student if they left.

They cancel Oak Hill because less than 11 players?

They had a group of biddies that dominated everyone. Thought they would be in high school by now.

For many years, the guy who elects to coach at FF Green is the bravest man in SEOhio...
A small district splitting the difference geographically between 'Burg and Ironton? It would be too much like hunting a bear with your bare hands.

Will the game be counted as a forfeit or will it just be written off?

Great coaches can control assistants and "helpers".Seabee_0586 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 11:02 am Ted newsome is a great coach but it’s the helpers that get out of hand

Re: Future of Green Bobcat Football
They started out the year with like 20 kids and only 1 senior. How does it go to whether they will have a team or not next year? If they got 8 kids coming up and can get back the majority of the players who started the season, they'd have anywhere from 25-30 kids next year. That's more than enough to field a team in D7 in one of the least competitive football conferences in Ohio.
Doesn't a forfeit like this though have some type of penalty the following season according to SOC bylaws?*
