you yourself should please use joeeitel as a reference also.

You played Desales in Regional Finals at Logan. and Akron St. V. in the state semi's at New Philly.
And I thought you were an Athens superfan :D . JK.

I cannot speak for the NY Defense as I have yet to see them play (Week 10)

However, Athens Defense is legit...They played lights out again last night against Logan and probably would have pitched a shut-out had The Dogs not given up a big Kick-Return...

Only 4 weeks of Football Left already, and hopefully for some SEO Teams we can get to the Play-Offs and see what happens...
Athens can 9-1 and miss playoffs. Don't get many points beating teams a couple divisions below you. Time to find a new league for football for Athens if they want playoffs
Seriously?!! It hasn't even been 10 years since Athens ran from the seoal because they couldn't compete. Now they need to find a new league?

Depends on the amount of fumbles Athens has.

They don't block that well so speed won't help if the Oline can't block.
They blocked on kick return decent to start at midfield against Ny ..athens defense is not as good as Nys.

I'm picking Meigs to win this one. I think Meigs, Wellston and Athens are all about the same caliber of teams and I think Athens will overlook Meigs and be very sorry they did.

Meigs would probably beat Logan by a couple scores. So this one could be close . Athens wins 21-14

If it is, Athens better be ready for a running clock week 10.

I don't think this is a close one. Athens rolls at home.

Too bad we couldn't find posts from the year when Athens smashed Alexander, who then beat NY a few weeks later ... Everyone in their mother thought Athens vs NY would be a mismatch based on the results of those Alex games. Guess what - it didn't add up in the end.

if you want to compare scores, Watkins Memorial should have beat Newark Catholic. Lost in the closing seconds 14-13. They play 10 times and probably every score is within a TD. They are one in the same. Nelsonville-York beat Newark Catholic 21-14. Are Newark Catholic, NY, Watkins all about the same??? All within a TD of each other? IDK ... But Athens hammered Watkins 27-0 and it could have easily been 42-0.

Don't pay attention to scores is the moral of the story. Athens played without Treyce Albin tonight and it mattered. They also had a gazillion penalties and turned the ball over.
