Week 8: Zane Trace (7-0) @ Piketon (4-3)

Post by PHS75 »

We are now into week 8 which brings us the undefeated Pioneers of Zane Trace traveling to Piketon to take on the Redstreaks. Both teams are coming in off of wins last week. What are the thoughts and predictions here?

One good thing is they are calling for showers Thursday and Friday, and the field will not be a swamp between the hashes and 25 to 25! lol I look for a good game, if Piketon can control the ball and limit the mistakes. Turn it over like against Adena, and it will be another long night. Lets Go Streaks!

I think the boys will be up for this one. Piketon beat Zane Trace the last time the Pioneers came to Pike County. They played in that pigsty they call a football field at Zane Trace last year and lost in a hard fought game. Zane Trace is good, but not great. The Streaks are capable.

I think ZT avoids a let down, stays focused and gets to 8-0 this week on their way to 10-0.

Not sure which night (Friday or Saturday) the D5 play-off games are this year, but if they are opposite of D3 and Jackson isn't playing I sure hope Jackson gets the Week 13 neutral field match-up between Burg and ZT if that happens. My guess is Waverly or Portsmouth would host but you never know.

I think Piketon is yet to play to their full potential, it could happen this week in a big game atmosphere. Good Luck to the Streaks!

D3 and D5 play on the same night. Evens one night and odds the other night. I thought the same thing about Waverly getting that game. With the new upgrades and all.

I agree knowledge. I am still waiting. Last year against Paint Valley was the Streaks best effort in many years. Maybe they can do it Friday.

Zane Trace wins, they are having one of those seasons of destiny. Don't see them having a let down tonight.

Unless an injury derails them I see a 10-0 finish.

The QB and the tailback will not play for ZT.

It makes no difference who is playing. Very disappointed in the Streaks. Down 35-0 at half.
