WK-5 Northwest @ Eastern (Sat. 2:00 PM)

Post by Kenraken Ahta »

Well, after the trip to Minford the question of whether the Mohawks are moving toward a return to the SOC-II were answered loud and clear! Now we move to a couple more questions that need to be answered. Can the Mohawks finish above .500 and can they at least come up with another share of the SOC-I Title? A win at Eastern would be a step in the right direction getting back above .500 and building some confidence and momentum going into league play week six! GO MOHAWKS!!

Northwest should be able to ground and pound on offense and the Eagles can throw. Gonna come down to defense and field position.

Field position is crucial, as the Eagles found that out last week. Going for it on 4th down almost every time and coming up short doesn't help. Someone needs to remind them that punting the ball away isn't such a bad thing.

Northwest will need to keep their foot on the gas and hope they can stop Eastern.

Close game

NW 35
Eastern 32

Final

Northwest 40
Eastern 34

Eagles tied it at 34 and almost got an onside kick before Northwest went down and scored with about a minute to go.
