We will see where Fort Frye falls in the picture of "good" teams. Monroe always plays well at home, this year may not be any different.
Have not lost to "very good Magnolia" just yet...don't go there to play them until next week.

I'll admit of my years playing football that Woodsfield is by far the most intimidating place to play. You got that war chant , The Horse and the flaming spear and what seems to be the all of Monroe County there every week.

Very intimidating place that's true. The horse, the flaming spear, the Sideliners boosters in the end zone, Lance Lafollette on the PA, all makes great atmosphere.
If the Fort kids want to make playoffs a win here is good start.

Drew Pastuer has Fort in as 7th seed at (8-2) and Monroe in at 8 seed at (6-4). That be kinda cool if River, Fort , Monroe and Caldwell all got in.

I can see that scenario. FF, MC, River and Caldwell all in.

Be interested to see how this one is predicted in the paper.

How good is Shenandoah they could also have a chance in a weak D7 also Belpre has a good shot.

By the time they got to Fort Frye last year, The Zeps were healthy and it was a tough game. They're not a team to overlook.

Fort Frye matches up very well with Shenandoah I believe they can slow down VanFosson.

Fort Frye has beaten Woodsfield/Monroe Central about 5 times in my lifetime. If Monroe wins, it is never an upset.

Agreed. I think Fort Frye is the better team but Central has to be a 2.5 favorite at home considering last time Cadets took down Noles in Woodsfield was 89.

Noles had a good week of practice. Now boys go out tomorrow and play MC ball, if we do Noles by 14. Hooper needs to run the ball better than he did against Caldwell.

I really do think Central will come out fired up in this one they were the only team to dominate Fort last season (40-7)

So hard picking against MC due to their recent history against Fort Frye, but I think this might be the year the Cadets pull it off. Just a hunch, i'm picking Fort by 6.

Of course I would predict Fort Frye to win, but it's just a shot in the dark. If they can pull it off somehow, The Cadets would in the driver's seat toward a really nice season.

Hooper will lead the Noles to a big victory tonight.
