2013 Schedule

08/31 - Wellston
09/06 - Waverly
09/14 - AT West Jefferson
09/20 - AT Athens
09/27 - Wheelersburg
10/04 - AT Warren
10/11 - AT Logan
10/18 - Portsmouth
10/25 - Greenfield-McClain
11/01 - Gallia Academy

Anyone have the scrimmage info? I think Washington CH is replacing Meigs and I assume we're still scrimmaging Nelsonville-York.

This will be a relatively young team, but there are some key guys with experience at the varsity level. Hopefully those guys can make the transition to the varsity level a little easier for some of the younger, but talented players.

Brutal schedule, including one of the toughest non-league slates in recent memory. West Jeff, Athens, and Burg in Weeks 3-5 will certainly give us an idea of how good this team will be.
Absolutely brutal schedule, as I said above 7-3 would be very respectable, and as much as we all would hate it 5-5 is entirely possible given the opponents. We will definetely see what we are made very early in weeks 3, 4 and 5. Be nice to steal a couple of those, set the tone early so to speak.

Lol, week 4 be very difficult but you never know. I gotta think by week 4 Athens will have had ample time to figure out the holes from the disappearing seniors on the Bulldog squad, and the Ironmen I think will have just 2-3 seniors so we will have our hands full with your athletes. But we will make the trip to the Plains and give it a whirl, I always am excited about our chances.

Doubleplay I saw a nice athlete in at the U of Cinci camp this past weekend I believe his name was Crabtree .... This isn't the boy going to Fla is it? He was working with the TE's ... Nice young athlete.

Nope, not the one that went to Fla...the young man you saw would be Jacob Crabtree most likely, a freshman last year that got a good deal of playing time actually at the Varsity level, and yes indeed he will be looked on heavily I imagine to contribute on both sides of the ball.

5-5 POSSIBLY 6-4
Win: Wellston, Waverly, then the real world comes, Lose to West Jeff, the 'Burg, and Athens. Get back on track with a win vs. Warren. I really think Logan gets them this year at Logan. Logan will start the tough road back. They will be decent this year. Jackson then gets wins vs. Portsmouth and McClain. They finish by getting beat by Gallia. There is a possibility of getting Gallia at home. We'll have to see who is more beat up and has more to play for the last game of the year.

Is everyone back and playing? Injuries? Everyone eligible?

Injuries are shoulder issues with Rafferty and Griffiths. Griffith won't be back until first or second game.

Parks not playing unfortunately.

There seems to be a couple key eligibilty issues for a couple players as well, but we all know how rumors go with that sort of thing. Let's hope for some positive news as we are about to play the toughest schedule we have seen in a while.

Team Camp for the Ironmen this week, followed by a week off, then time to get after it with two-a-days scheduled for first week of August.

Tick-tock, be time for some football before you know it, scrimmage the first week of school followed by the 100th meeting of the Rockets and Ironmen.

Anyone have the official numbers for the players that turned out for team camp this week in grades 9-12?

And is there still a 7 on 7 scheduled for Friday and if so which teams are going to be in town?
