Minford scored quickly at the start of the game, taking only 2 minutes and 2 seconds off the clock and the defense looked stout during the Redmans first possession, however the Falcons coughed up the pigskin on special teams, giving Rock Hill new life, but defensive made another stand. Minford then fumbled again to Rock Hill on 3rd down. Helping Rock Hill with a big facemask penalty, the Redman punched it in making the score 7-6 Minford at the half. The Falcons continued to rack up the scoreboard throughout the second half, with a strong offense, but was also aided by the defense which forced a couple of miscues by the Redman. Minford finished the game with a 40-6 opening season win on the road.

Minford is a huge and ver good football team. That being said, this was a 7-6 gamein the third quarter when things began to fall apart for the redmen.. Rock hill is much improved!! If the hill can make it tholrough their brutal non conference schedule, they should be able to make some noise in the ovc! Glad to see the hill with a competitive attitude again. go hill!

With the O-line Minford has, winning games in the 4th quarter just maybe what is going to happen the rest of the year. The strength and conditioning of this team will wear'em down and take over in the 2nd half. Sounds like the defense really came thru in the 1st half after giving up some field position off of turnovers. Good job guys, ROLL RED ROLL!!
