Re: State Championship Favorites
D1 St. Ed's over Moeller in a rematch.
D2 - Glenville, Massillon, Zanesville, Winton Woods. Massillon over Winton Woods in the final.
D3 - SVSM, TCC, Marion-Franklin, Thurgood Marshall. SVSM over TCC in the final.
D4 - Mooney, Kenton, Stubenville (weak region), Alter. Kenton over Mooney in the final.
D5 - Ursuline, Coldwater, Hartley, North Union. Hartley over Ursuline in the final.
D6 - Kirtland, Wayne Trace, Valley (homer pick) or Ready, Cincinnati CD. Kirtland over Valley or Ready in the final.
D7 - Western Reserve, DSJ, Shadyside, MSML Marion Local over Western Reserve in the final.
I don't know much about D1, but St.Ed's is very impressive. There are about 5 teams that I think could win that one. I think Massillon finally gets over the hump in D2. SVSM is a slam dunk in D3. They have played a monster schedule and pounded almost everyone along the way. I'm sure Mr. Kizer will have something to say about it, but barring injuries, I think St. V's is the team to beat.
In D4, Kenton looks to be rolling. If Alter or Clinton Massie are healthy, they will challenge Kenton. I think Hartley takes D5, but I would not be surprised to see Coldwater or Ursuline win it.
I really think the Region 21 winner has a great shot at the title. Kirtland is obviously a monster, but I'm not sure about the strength of the other regions.
All of D7 is playing for 2nd. I would take a healthy Marion Local to win D4-D7.

Re: State Championship Favorites
D1: St. Eds, Moeller, Davidson, and Colerain all have a shot. I'll say Ed's wins it all.
D2: Glenville would be my best guess but I cannot say I follow this division that closely
D3: ASVSM or Toledo Central Catholic have to be the favorites. I'll go with ASVSM.
D4: Kenton completes a perfect season.
D5: Hartley or Coldwater. 2 of the most consistent programs in the state in recent years. I'll go with Hartley.
D6: Ready, Valley, and Kirtland all have a chance. This is the year for Ready.
D7: Marion Local...easy.

Re: State Championship Favorites
Just for trivia, in D5R16, all of the top 4 seeds lost in the first round.

Yes they did. Lots of upsets already. All of the home teams lost in region 16.

Re: State Championship Favorites
Looks like I ended up with 16 of the 26 Regional Champs.
I have already won ASVSM and I have a chance with MSML, Kirtland, and Hartley.
