Zanesville would be closer to Tri Valley than Athens is to Logan. Not to mention the game can not be in Zanesville because the Devils are playing Friday night. It may end up somewhere other than Logan but it won't be Zanesville. And 30+? Are you serious?

How can Zanesville Devils be playing Friday . they played there home game
He meant they are playing, but just not at home, even though the field will be "open", OHSAA won't typically schedule a field if that team is playing. Even though it is on a neutral field.

Theory being, everyone will be at the neutral site game, and no one be around to run the stadium, concessions, etc...

So who travels best? Athens or TV?
I think Athens will have a good crowd but won't fill the home stands.they rarely fill their stands for a home game.
What will TV bring?

Tr-Valley brought the biggest away crowd I have ever seen at Logan in 2007 at Bill Sauer Field.

MVL neutrals will be split between Philo, Maysville, and TV so that will help some.

Last one out of Muskingum County on Friday night, lock the door.
Zanesville vs Kilbourne at Gahanna Lincoln.
Philo vs Indian Valley at Meadowbrook
Maysville vs Steubenville at St. Clairsville
and of course Tri-Valley vs Athens at Logan.

I think a lot of the Perry county MVL backers (Crooksville, New Lex, and Sheridan) will head to Logan. Look for a huge TV/MVL crowd. Expect the same from the Athens/TVC (and even SEOAL) side.

Locos,
Please put the stadium info on the MVL forum.

Two years ago, Tri-Valley played Marion Franklin in the regional final (D2) at Gahanna Lincoln. Due to the number of people TV had brought to Gahanna the week before when they beat New Albany, the OHSAA switched the seating. TV still wore the away jerseys but the crowd sat on the home side.

This will be my first trip to the new Field in Logan...

I had the chance to see it when I was Coaching a few Baseball Games over there, looks like a nice facility...

Bulldogs will bring tons of support, the Bulldogs and Tomcats players/fans have really supported each respected team greatly...

Athens County enjoying to Teams Still Playing in Week 12!

I believe Athens has not played on the New Turf in Logan...new field, fresh start...

Bulldogs now 3-3 in School Play-Off History...trying to move above .500...

Tri-Valley is 6-6 in the playoffs (all since 2006) and also looking to get above .500!

Out of all 26 Regions and the #1 vs #8 games none of the one seeds that won gave up anywhere close to 55 points. West Jefferson gave up 30 something but most games the points scored were less than twenty and there were a lot of zeroes given up.

Athens giving that many points up is gonna prove to be trouble next week I fear.

It's hard to pick Athens in this contest ! They are a bully in the tvc ! What the burrow kid does is amazing but it's against some of the worst competition in the state. There is no doubt about the numbers they put up as a team but they were tested by a Logan elm team that would most likely lose to all teams 1-10 in the region ! Did Athens play bad? Maybe , but from what i see on channel 15 on nelsonville tv cable , I think they just ran into a little bit of of competition. It's easy to execute against much lesser opponents but that'll all change this week , how will they react when they face adversity ? Also the coaching has to be better for Athens , panicking early and going for it at mid field 4th and 10 will cost you against tri valley. TV is experienced , players and the coaching staff , yes Athens made it to week 13 bc of an easy way there , their week 12 game was just a battle of two teams who weren't ready for the big playoff stage and Athens pulled it out !
Athens will move the ball but they won't have the success they are used to , and if they can react well to that , both players and coaches , they can pull it out , but I don't think they will !
Tv executes , keeps Athens shakey throughout the game , puts the dagger in mid-late 4th
Tv 43-30

And can we quit comparing Trimble Athens , Athens is a much bigger school w better athletes , yes they'd win
But Trimble is a better team at the d7 level compared to Athens in d3
