They needed a bit of help there at the end. I got the call right, didn't I?

While were on the topic, I predict piketon beating waverly...by one score.

I also predict waverly wins at least 4 games

Seriously, Warren Local wins state title, heard it here first. oh wait, thought this was the basketball thread. oh well, why not football too! They obviously know what they are doing as demonstrated by the hiring process.

1. YTB Ironton has the athletes to make a playoff run (got the SP RB) and a lot of other talent
2. Waverly will win the SOC( going out on a limb on this one but they have the right mix of size, speed and talent)

Since 2007, Waverly has 1 win (Minford in 2010) against the current members of the SOC II. They are 1-23 against Minford, Valley, West, and Wheelersburg in that time frame.

They may improve, but that program is not in the same league with the other 4 teams in the conference.

no they are not crab. if you see these young'uns here in waverly, ohio. one thing comes to my mind. -----------not nearly enough time in a weightroom.and that's a fact as far as I can see. I am and always will be a fighting tiger fan. but now that I live up here at the lake, I'd love to see the waverly team back on track. I remember some tuff waverly teams in the 70's in the seoal of old. now they are getting spanked by much lesser teams. they need to get way more physical.

Waverly had very good teams in the early to mid 90's, well above average until several years after that. They have been way off since then for sure.

Yes the 90's were when Waverly played some exciting football. They have had several good teams here and there. I hope they can get back to be competitive.

LMAO..... Are you serious about Caldwell beating Monroe and by 2 scores. Brown and Jorris will be the best 1-2 combo
In the league.

Crab's brother wrote:1. The SOC II will have 3 teams at 8-2 and better.

2. The SOC I will be as bad as it has been in a while.

3. The OVC will regret bringing Portsmouth and Ironton in (This one may take a few years).

4. Athens blowing everyone out will cost Burrow Mr. Football

As for just the SOC II:

Valley will not be as dominant, but with Rolfe and a strong Junior class they will be in the mix and make the playoffs.
Wheelersburg running backs will have 200 more carries than they did in 2013.
West will play more disciplined football and make the playoffs.
Minford will realize they should have put Madden and McCray on the same side in 2013. They will threaten the playoffs and if they make it, it will not be pretty in round 1. They are in a ridiculous region.
Waverly will look like the best team in the league in warm ups. Then the game will start and they will look soft like they have since the Walls era ended. They will be better though.

Northwest (Even though they changed leagues) will still be bad, but they will have a shot at a league title.

1st. Ohsaa will be more fair, when it comes to seeding teams for the playoffs.
2nd. When Ironton, and Portsmouth, both join the OVC, it will be a 2 dog fight, year in, and year out.

Seeding is done by points so how can OHSAA be anymore fair?
