Wow! This is TRULY awesome!

We got a call at Trimble today inviting us to play in the 1st Annual Ironton Soccer Jamboree this fall. We can't wait to come down.

Funny story last night I stopped to get some pics and I saw a bunch of people there including a school official I said hi and walked in the stadium. The school official asked my dad who was sitting in the car if he was going to go look at the turf. My dad being one not to mix words said nope you've seen one turf field you've seen them all.

Love the new look of the field, glad it has become a reality. I'm still not keen on the Tiger in the middle nor the script style font in one endzone and block in the opposite. Who on earth designed this? The tiger can barely be visible from the stands due to the stands not reaching up high enough to get the right perspective. I still think a much simpler Tiger or "I" would have been much better. Ironton in script to match would have been great too. But o'well, can't please us all.

Glad to see it done and ready for the season though.

After seeing it in person the Tiger head isnt that cool. It looks smushed together. They couldve went with a better one instead of that one.

I just call it like I see it. The turf looks amazing. Try sitting in the bleachers and see what I mean. The Tiger logo used is not the right style to be put down, like I said, look at colleges and other sports team with Tiger logos. The simpler the design the easier it is to see and interpret. But why do a simple font in one endzone and script in the other? Makes no sense in regards to design.

Seems to me people cannot handle constructive criticism. Yes, the turf looks nice, but is it perfect no its not. The idea was there, but the execution was not. The Tiger head is wierd looking and not at all impressive while the different lettering in the endzones make it look odd as well. Whats up with they black lines running around the outside? Where they thinking of putting soccer lines on the field?

That would do it for me!!
I'd have to go find a team with better end zone lettering to watch.

I as well as others are just pointing out the fact that if your going to spend a million dollars to put in turf you might want to make it look like some effort was put into designing it instead of having a 5 year old design it. Ive seen better designs on build a stadium mode on NCAA football on playstation.

Valley had the same criticism when the turf was installed back in 2001-2002 season. The Indian head was said to be weird looking by many. Needless to say, when the turf was replaced last month, the Indian head was replaced with a "V" at the 50.

So, I can see both sides of this argument, but I think it looks great overall.

I would complain if I was a "generous" donor ( at least over $10,000 ).
If not , I would say it is a VERY nice looking project. To all that donated; THANK YOU AND IT IS APPRECIATED!!!
To those that did not donate; enjoy your nice free field; without complaints !!

Looks nice to me as well. Old school looking Ironton letters on one end and flashy cursive Fighting Tigers letters on the other end. Old flare/new flare look. Tiger looks good too/with the legend coach Bob Lutz name on the sides. Lots of color/thick boundary lines. I'd be thankful, cool looking field. :aaaaa59
