Raceland makes a goal line stand and takes it to the CG 30 in three plays but CG forces a fumble and David abrams recovers it. CG ball at their own 27 with the third quarter winding down

Is CG complacent on just focusing to try to win the OVC every year or focusing on winning and going far in the playoffs ?
CG has some talented kids and yet they seem not to play to what is expected ?
I don't know the system or the coaches nor do I know their goal.
I know every school has it's ups and downs but CG seems to talented to not be better than they are.

Isn't Jr. Lucas is basketball, track, and football coach? Hard to get rid of all your coaches at once.

We can't tackle, it is that simple, we just can't tackle or play defense, regardless of the hose job from officials, we just can't play defense. Instead of our boys going around acting like they are something, they need to prove it on the field, all they have proven is they can play mediocre football.

Hate my comments, or like them, they are the truth, some people need to stop drinking the "Kool-Aid" and demand more from this coaching staff.

The Rams even in losing all of the players they did from last season and their head coach are still a very solid ball club.

I agree CG has had a great deal of talent and have done nothing with it. I don't understand why there has not been changes. I guess that is the way the OVC has became, just look at the RH different year same story.

Everyone can gripe about coaching all they. The players have to be accountable at some point.

You can't fire the players. It isn't a talent problem. It is a culture problem that stems from a lack of discipline and a hodgepodge coaching staff dominated by a single individual. Show me another team in the area where one coach calls the vast majority of the offense and defense. How can you make defensive adjustments when you are calling offensive plays? It is funny to see it happen week after week and season after season and then no one can figure out why the defense has been putrid against quality opponents for years. I miss the days of the Big Black Blanket that shut teams down with physical and disciplined play. Those defenses coached by Dave Owens and Steve Cook were stifling.
